CAITLIN FFRENCH

Caitlin ffrench is an artist living in East Vancouver Canada.
Caitlin works with plant and earth pigments to make her work, mapping out various places by recording the pigments from the landbase.
“ Using botanical and earth pigments I will create visual records of land to inform the viewer of the history of place.
This work intersects ethnobotany, geology, and the connections between place and my memories.
I strive to be calculated in my wildcrafting practice as I place great importance in respecting the ethics of wildcrafting pigments from the land.”
