NICK NEDDO

Nick Neddo, has been playing with art since he could first pick up a crayon. He grew up exploring the wetlands, forests and fields of his habitats of Vermont and Maine and developed a profound curiosity, respect and love for the landscape. As a youth, Nick identified primary focuses that would become life-long pursuits: study of the natural world, Stone Age technology/primitive skills and the creative process. Trusting the inherent value of these pursuits, he continues to embrace his role as a lifelong student, with an appetite fueled by a genuine love of nature and the creative process. His travels are compelled by prehistoric art sites and the quest for wildness, seeking traditional skills and experiencing the landscape’s majesty, which are common themes in his artwork.

Nick teaches workshops regularly and is the author of The Organic Artist, and The Organic Artist for Kids, two very generous books that carefully explain and illustrate every necessary step in the making of inks, charcoal drawing utensils, paints and more from foraged materials.

You can find his latest artwork, workshop schedule and other creations at www.nickneddo.com.
